We lost many good people in the year of 2013, talented actors, singers and leaders that made a difference. Below are 10 celebrities who we lost in 2013. Let’s hope that 2014 is a better year.
- James Avery – The TV series that jettisoned Will Smith’s career was The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, it gave us some memorable scenes, and not all of them were provided by Smith. No one can forget Uncle Phil played by Avery. His character was unforgettable.
- Nelson Mandela – The South African President brought peace and forgiveness after spending most of his life on Robin Island from 1964 to 1982. He won the Nobel Peace Prize, which was richly deserved for his campaign to end apartheid.
- Peter O’Tool played Lawrence of Arabia, who can forget those piercing blue eyes? His contribution to both film and theatre are unforgettable.
- Lou Reid, sadly he left us in 2013, but left behind a legacy of music after making an amazing contribution to rock and roll through the 60s and 70s. He’s remembered mostly for his time with The Velvet Underground. He’s gone, but not forgotten.
- Tom Clancy – a brilliant writer who was known for his crime thrillers.
- David Frost was a veteran of TV broadcasting, and famous for his interviews, the most memorable being the one with Richard Nixon
- Another writer in the form of Elmore Léonard famous for “Get Shorty” and “Out of Sight.”
- Karen Black was a well-known actress, known for her striking looks and acting talent; she was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Five Easy Pieces as Jack Nicholson’s girlfriend and also won a Golden Globe for her part in the first Great Gatsby.
- Corey Monteith was known as the singing all American football player in Glee. He sadly left us too early at 31 after being found in a hotel room in Vancouver.
- Paul Walker known for his role in the Fast & Furious films died in a car accident in 2013, he will be sorely missed.
All of the above left us all too soon, some young, and others who’d led a full life. Nobody knows when they will die, and with this in mind it’s especially important to make sure that you have a will prepared – one that’s kept fresh and current by reviewing it as often as possible.
However, you may have known someone who’s left a will and you don’t agree with it. You may have concerns with what has been written in the will. If this is the case, you may want to dispute it. Get some advice from http://www.disputingwills.co.uk/ and give yourself some peace of mind.
