I have always enjoyed ETSY and the many creative individuals represented there. If you are not familiar with ETSY. It is a site that offers artists of all kinds a place to sell their products. Each one has their own website / store set up. Most everything sold on the site is hand made – jewelry, cards, paintings, clothes, photography…. and SO much more. Be sure to stop by the site to purchase your next gift or even for YOURSELF! The prices are awesome too! you really can’t beat HANDMADE!
So, today, I am showcasing an ETSY artist named Allie who has a store called “Screwed Up Texan“. She offers prints and postcards of her beautiful photography.

Words from the Artist:
“I am a 28 year old mother to three young boys and the wife to a man that I have been married to for nearly nine years (we celebrate our ninth anniversary June 1st). I grew up in Texas and after living the first two years of our marriage in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah we decided to move to Texas so my husband to take a job offer.
I’ve always been interested in the arts, particularly sketching and painting. My first exposure (nice pun) to photography was when I was a teenager and the family I lived with bought me a film camera. When my children were very small, I owned a business painting murals, so it was a logical transition to a photography business when my children became older (although I still plan to continue painting murals in the future on the side).
This last year I had some postcards made up for our Cinco de Mayo Fiesta which I was going to sell along with my book, Screwed Up: My Life (book available at Blurb.com). However, when our Cinco de Mayo Fiesta was cancelled over concerns of the Swine Flu, I was left with a ton of postcards and no way to sell them. Soon after, I decided to open shop on Etsy and sell the postcards along with some framed prints and other items. I am still adding to the shop, but you can find what I have added so far here: www.screweduptexan.etsy.com. Take a look at what I have for sale in my Etsy shop and let me know what you think would be a good bargain for your readers. I have 100 postcards of inventory for each photo postcard. These postcards are printed on quality cardstock just like you would find at a souvenir shop and have a glossy finish. I know I said I would give away the set of four American West postcards, but if you want can double that and offer 2 postcards of each. Take a look at my shop and tell me which combination works best for you.
I love photographing landscapes and I love taking macro shots (close up photos). Flowers, interesting rocks, bark, and insects are just a few of my favorite shots. My favorite photos are a toss up between the Oklahoma Sky photo (photo at top of post) and the Spring Moss photo (below). “

Alli is offering a giveaway to our readers – 2 sets of the American West Landscape Postcards. (set of 4)

And guess what? That’s not all! I am throwing in a $20 money gift that would go straight into the winner’s Paypal account! I LOVE to bless my readers!

I love the focus on natural beauty in her work as well as the sometimes striking contrasts, for example in the photo with the barbed wire.
