Yes… I work out of the home only 3 mornings a week… the rest of the time I am home with my 3 babies. It’s a constant juggling act and I don’t feel like I do any of it well. I so love that picture. I want to steal it!!!

My kids are grown-up now, but I did try and work at home when they were little, never could do it. Their father (otherwise known now as the sperm donor) was NO help what-so-ever, when I tried to do the work when he was at home and “babysitting”. Another thing that annoys me – fathers DO NOT babysit their OWN children (sorry, I digress). I am in awe of ANY mother who can work from home!! So, please cut yourself some slack, indulge your duck tape dreams (LOVE the picture!!), and love your children now while they are little, it goes by sooo fast. I ended up working the overnight shift so I could spend time with my kids, I was exhausted and ended up divorced. You are making the RIGHT decision – perservere!!!

I so understand, I have my 6 year old who I love dearly but that does not listen to anything I say, seriously, I do not even think when I talk she listens at all. When I put Jackson down for a nap that is key work time, if my 6year old did not knock on the door every 10 minutes trying to wake him up. My 10 year is actually a great help, not sure what I would do without her.

We talked about this on Chicks Who Chat this week. I homeschool, so summer is more relaxing for me, but I still get the “I’m bored” complaint… and the complaining is getting a little louder every day.

One of the things that I let the kids do is play in the hose. We don’t have a yard, but we have enough room out back and it’s safe, so they splash each other for a while and eventually get cold and tired. Just in time for lunch… and then a nap! :)

My kids are older and they are driving me crazy. My son sleeps until noon and stays out past midnight. He is on a totally different schedule than I am. My daughter moans and groans that she has nothing to do, but won’t get off her phone for five minutes. I’m ready for school to start!

As a mom of three under the age of 7 I feel your pain. I am fortunate enough to have found an inexpensive 1/2 day summer camp that tires them out enough that they are quiet for an hour when they get home. So after a morning of splashing in the sun, I let them relax in front of Martha Speaks and Curious George for an hour.

Then, of course, it’s Mommy time! At least I can get a few hours of work done while they are away and do the less serious work (blog hopping, twittering, facebook) while they are relaxing in front of the TV.
