What exactly is a blog award? Well, it’s a way of sharing your support, appreciation, and recognition towards a fellow blogger whose blog you enjoy reading.
I have been wanting to create my own blog award ever since I started blogging and receiving blog awards.? So far, I have been blessed with? 6 or 7 awards.? These awards include: Your Blog is Fabulous, Hooked on your Blog, Honest Scrap, Butterfly Award, Best Mommy Award, Aloha Friend Award, and a couple more.? I just love being honored and recognized by my fellow blogger friends with these fun awards.
I have been wracking my brain with ideas for a blog award that I could give.? Here are a few:
- Your Blog is Fun to Read
- Creative Blog
- Blogging Buddy
- Informative Blog
- Look forward to your posts
- I am loved
- Happy Blogger
I can go on and on.? But for now, I would like to get the opinion of my fellow blogging buddies and ask you to share your ideas.? You are welcome to choose your favorite from my list above, or come up with something creative on your own.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.? If I do choose a title that you have come up with, I will be sure to give you some bloggy recognition as well as a special treat – a custom blog button or graphic of your choice.? A blog award also comes with some stipulations.? If you GIVE a blog award, the recipient is required to pass it on to a certain amount of people and there is usually a short writing assignment with it as well.? For instance with one award, I was asked to share 10 things about myself that nobody knew.? I suppose the assignment would have to go along with the specific award.? So here is another opportunity to get creative.? Put your thinking caps on and SHARE SHARE SHARE!!

Hi what a great idea. You could name your award something like The Painted Life Award. And have the contestants send your an entry of how they would like to paint their lives. Hope this helps.

I really love the idea of tying your award into your personal pursuits (the things you blog about) so I kind of like something like a “Mural Award” since it’s a huge part of what you do. You can present it to people who you feel create blogs with content full of “dimension and life” – just like you describe how you feel about your own creations. Hope that helps!!

I just recently found your blog through twitter and I think this is such a cute idea! I loved Jenna’s ideas about the “ROFL Award” and the “This Blog Makes Me Smile” and I think you could do quite a bit with those. For the first one, maybe you could have the recipient write about one (or more…) thing that made them LOL that week, and nominate another blog that they find funny. For the smile one, I’d do the same thing… have them write about something that made them smile. Maybe require a picture… because who doesn’t love to see pictures that make us smile!
