My 4 year old son took this shot of me.? We had a nice morning outside in the snow shoveling, sledding, and making a snow man.? (Can you see the snow on the trees in the background?)? Here I am sitting at my desk, checking my emails, and enjoying a cup of hot chocolate.
As you can see, my office space in actually in our dining room (which isn’t really a dining room at all).? My favorite part about my “so called” office is the big sliding glass door.? I love to sit and watch the birds outside.? At Christmas time, I share my space with our Christmas tree, but I don’t mind…
Merry Christmas Everyone!!
This is sooooo cool!? Your kids will love it, I know mine did!
All you have to do is input your child’s info, like name, age, what they want for Christmas, etc.
You can also upload a picture of your child
And after you are all done, Santa comes on with a video clip directed to your child as if he were talking right to them.
My kids were a bit confused at first because they are only 3 & 4, but they loved seeing their picture in his book.? Below is a shot of my daughter in Santa’s book.
Please feel free to watch my children’s personalized Santa videos below.

What did you think?? Funny right??
My husband has loved this song for many years.? It brings tears to my eyes when I listen to it – especially now that my grandma passed away only a few weeks ago.
I subscribe to several different sites and blogs.? I often get daily emails from each one of them and it can get overwhelming.? What I should’ve done ,in the beginning, was created a separate email address to receive all the feeds and updates, but unfortunately I didn’t think of this soon enough.
A friend of mine told me about iGoogle.? It is a personalized homepage where you can store all of your favorite site feeds.? Once you add the feed, each site will have its own section that displays the titles of 3 of the most recent posts.? You can scroll over them to read a portion of the article or click on the title to go directly to the site and read the whole article.
You can also categorize each subject and have a separate page for each one.? Once or twice a week I go into my iGoogle and check out my favorite site posts.? This is a fast and easy way to stay up to date without wasting a lot of time.? I have way too much to do, then to spend hours reading posts.? So, now I am able to read through the titles and only open the posts that interest me.
Another cool feature is that you can customize your page according to the seasons and holidays.? As you can see in the picture above, I have a winter theme on my page.
Check out this video on how to set up your feeds on an iGoogle page:
A friend sent this to me and it brought tears to my eyes. I thought I would share it.
My baby boy is almost 2 months old.? He is my 3rd child, so I pretty much know the ins and outs of being a mom.? The hardest thing for me right now is definitely the lack of sleep.? But one thing I hardly ever hear anyone talk about is BURPING.
What a struggle it is after spending so much time feeding the baby and then anticipating a burp.? Five minutes – pat pat pat, Ten minutes – pat pat pat…..? still no burp.? I try everything – changing positions from shoulder to shoulder, having him sit up on my lap, laying him on his tummy over my legs, and back to the shoulder again….? still no burp.
It just about kills me at 2 in the morning after the baby drinks an entire 5 ounces and I can’t get a burp out of him.? I am half asleep and fighting the urge just to put him back in his bed and forget about it.? I have done this on a few occasions and I suffered the consequences of having a very gassy baby.? Not Good!
I researched quite a bit and did not find any particular “secret” to burping.? Most websites listed the 3 main burping positions and suggested trying all of them until the baby burps.
1.? Over your shoulder
2.? Sitting up on your lap
3.? Laying down on their stomach on your lap
They also said that some babies will like certain positions better.? But MY baby just seems to be a HARD TO BURP BABY.? I have tried it all!
I also read that breastfed babies have less gas than bottle fed babies.?? Bottle fed babies somehow get more air when feeding.? A trick to help with this is to feed the baby in a more upright position.
I would love to hear your suggestions.?? I am desperately in need of some good advice in the burping area.? HELP PLEASE!!
I was on my way home from my mom’s house this past Saturday and I got a call from my husband.? He started to explain to me that he was in the bathroom and the kids kept asking him if they could watch Tom & Jerry on TV.? We have the “On Demand” where you can pick anything out of the kid’s category and play the show just like you would a DVD.? It is actually pretty cool.? The kids have a few that they always want to watch, but their favorite is Tom & Jerry.
Anyway, my husband kept telling them to hold on – hold on.? Hubby was not feeling well and it was taking him a bit longer in the bathroom than usual.? So the kids took it upon themselves to climb up on a stool and grab the remote off of the top of the entertainment center.? Keep in mind that my daughter is 3 and my son is 4.
After getting the remote, they started pushing buttons, I guess thinking that they would somehow get to the cartoon channel.? From the bathroom, my husband thought her heard something weird.? When he came out of the bathroom and into the living the kids were siting quietly next to eachother just staring at the TV.? And what were their little eyes glued to?? A FULL FLEDGED PORN!!
As my husband was sharing this with me over the phone, my heart sunk into the bottom of my stomach.? I was devastated.? I asked him how long they were watching it and he told me that he really didn’t know and that it could’ve been 5 minutes or more.? WHAT A NIGHTMARE!? I had no clue what to do.? Do we talk to them about it?? Do we just let it go and hope that they forget about?
My husband just quickly changed the channel and out on Tom & Jerry for them and didn’t say anything.? I asked some advice from my mom and a few friends and I got mixed answers.? Some said that maybe I should talk to them and some said to just let it go.
